There are two international airports in Southern and Northern Cyprus.
You can travel to South Cyprus and reach North Cyprus by car or taxi in less than half an hour. You can also travel directly through Turkey to Ercan Airport in the North. There are no buses to North from the south of the island, although car rental companies in North Cyprus have taxis in Larnaca to get you to the north. From Ercan Airport in Lefkosa there are buses that go to various cities in North.
Larnaca International Airport in South Cyprus is a transportation hub for charter flights from airports around the world.
If you have a non-European or non-EU passport and you are traveling to North Cyprus, you will need a Schengen visa to enter via Larnaca. In this case, it may be easier to reach it through Ercan Airport (Lefkosa) in the North using an airline that stops in Turkey. There are no visa requirements for any visitor to North Cyprus, and a 90-day visa is issued to all nationalities at the Ercan airport or borders.
